Our interactive CAD Labs are designed to teach occupational therapists the technical skills to produce professional home modifications plans.

The CAD Lab Experience.

Come prepared to immerse yourself in a fun & creative day of computer aided drafting that will help take your Home Mods plans and diagrams to the next level.

In 2022, we will be opening up our doors to teach you the essential skills required to draw high quality diagrams and develop clear conceptual designs using OTDraw & SketchUp.

Our HQ in Auburn will be set up to offer you the most effective learning experience in acquiring these highly sought after and valuable drafting skills. By the end of these sessions, you will walk away with a new tool for practice that will help communicate your vision and functional use of space with the clients and the builders you work with.

Our goal is to share our best tips and tricks, to ensure that you don’t ever have to waste hours trying to figure out how to use CAD on your own.

Why is CAD so important for OT’s working in Home Mods?

The use of CAD as an effective tool of the trade is often overlooked by OT’s. Our workshops teach you the value of developing proficiency in this area so that you can communicate your proposed modifications well to your clients and the building professionals or home mods providers you’re working with.

Using CAD is fun and brings out your creative side, assisting you to build mastery in designing functional spaces and a greater understanding of how these will be used by your clients.

Hosting these sessions will be our director Angie who has been using OTDraw & SketchUp for over 7 years, an has developed proficiency in this area.

Check out our Events page for upcoming sessions.

Resources for OT’s.
