Inclusive OT supports occupational therapists of all levels to develop their clinical skills and confidence as they progress through entry into this area of practice. We share our professional knowledge, skills and experiences thereby enhancing occupational therapists learning, development, and career confidence.

Each mentee establishes a range of goals that they work to achieve with the support and advice of their mentor, and they gain valuable insights into the world of occupational therapy practice in disability and aged care community settings. They are encouraged to focus on their personal and professional development as well as reflect on their clinical skill progression to update their CPD portfolios.

Our philosophy.

We adopt a creative and engaging approach to our mentoring and training sessions to ensure that you come out with a better understanding on your scope of practice when working in community settings. Our mentoring philosophy is aligned with the philosophy of occupational therapy education where participants are treated as partners in learning. They play an active role in the transfer of knowledge and are encouraged to be curious and to enhance their critical thinking skills and use of self-reflection.

At Inclusive OT, we aim to debunk the uncertainty of interventions and empower occupational therapists to engage in evidence based approaches with ongoing support from our experienced clinicians and educators.

The road to becoming a confident OT.

Our mentoring programs are offered by our experienced clinicians and educators who have combined their practical and clinical knowledge in a variety of occupational therapy clinical practice areas ranging from hospital acute, rehab, physical and mental health to community-based settings working. They have experience working with clients across the lifespan from pediatrics through to older adults. With their extensive experience in supervisory and leadership roles, peer mentoring, student supervision, and higher education, our mentors are dedicated to helping OT’s get a good start working in disability and aged care community practice settings.

Inclusive OT can provide mentoring for OT’s who may be practicing as sole clinicians in community settings, working without active clinical supervision, or who simply wish to expand their current level of knowledge and be challenged further.
